Before implementing its CHW program, BATA considered a number of healthcare professions for its inaugural career pathway. CHW was chosen very deliberately because what’s important to a CHW is important to the BATA graduate, and because BATA students are already strident advocates for members of their multilingual communities. More specifically, we trace the alignments between our program and the CHW profession through the values as below named:
