    City Year

    City Year has an after school program that runs Monday-Thursday from 1.30-3:30pm

    Students can meet during the City Year after school program to get help with homework and have discussions about positive decisions and activities in the community.  City Year has over 10 full time Corp Members who are working with our students during the school day.  City Year is continuing to make a measurable impact in the lives of the students at the Rogers, and they have the results to show for it.

    Squashbusters

    SquashBusters offers intensive after-school academic and mentoring support for youth through to adulthood.  SQB  is a sports-based after-school youth enrichment program. We use the sport of squash, in combination with academic enrichment / homework tutoring, community service, school counseling and placement, and summer opportunities to improve the lives of Boston youth. SquashBusters aims to ensure that all its students graduate from high school, and matriculate to and graduate from college. By doing so, its students grow to become healthy, civic-minded, educated adults. SQB transforms the lives of our students.

    America SCORES Boston

    The middle school SCORES Program is an expansion of the elementary school curriculum.  Therefore, while it still utilizes soccer, poetry, and service-learning as core activities, practice sessions and writing workshops are specifically tailored to this demographic, with a greater emphasis on spoken word poetry and social entrepreneurship.  Each partner school recruits a team of 15 boys and 15 girls to participate in all program activities after school which include:

    Hyde Park YMCA

    The Hyde Park YMCA is proud to be part of the YMCA of Greater Boston, the largest provider of social services in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. Serving Hyde Park, Jamaica Plain, Milton, Mattapan and Greater Boston, the Hyde Park YMCA has strengthened its community through youth development, healthy living, and social responsibility since 1896.

    With a newly renovated, fully handicap accessible building, the Hyde Park YMCA features a 6-lane 25 yard lap pool, Out of School time and teen programs, and expanded health and wellness rooms and studios that ensure programs and services for people of all ages and abilities.

    Hyde Square Community Center

    The Community Center is a place for students to connect with community events.  Many events are held during the week at the center, and students often meet up in front of the Community Center after school as a meeting point for conversation and recreation.

    Hyde Park Library

    The Hyde Park Library offers a place for students to go after school to work on homework and have a quiet place to study.  Students can also meet with library staff in organized groups around technology and reading groups.  The library is directly across from the school and is a beautiful space for students to spend their after school hours.  


    City Stage

    This program offers free creative drama classes to young Boston residents ages 9 to 13. Classes are held on Mondays and Wednesdays from 4 PM until 5:30 PM. In the auditorium of the Blackstone Community Center at 50 West Brookline Street (between Shawmut Avenue and Washington Street in Boston's South End neighborhood)

    Riverside Theatre Works

    Boston Bikes

    Roll it Forward collects, repairs, and donates used bikes to non-profit community groups from all of Boston’s neighborhoods. One goal is to combat obesity and diabetes in kids and adults by increasing physical activity with bike ownership. Another goal is to introduce individuals and communities to the transformative benefits of using a bicycle for transportation, exercise, and fun.

    TEEP (Trinity Education for Excellence Program)

    Hyde Park Main Streets

    Hyde Park Main Streets is a non-profit organization composed of residents and business owners who are interested in promoting a vital and thriving business district in our traditional downtown area.
