Fall 2024 Exam School Waitlists

A waitlist has been created for grades 7 and 9 at Boston Latin Academy, Boston Latin School, and the John D. O’Bryant School, as well as Grade 10 at the John D. O’Bryant School. All exam school waitlists will expire on November 30, 2024. If a seat becomes available and your child is next in line on the waiting list, BPS will contact the parent to offer the seat.

Please note that we do not expect waitlist seats to become available before September. However, BPS will continue to regularly review the waitlists on the following timeline: 

• First week of June - completed
• First week of July - completed
• First week of August - completed
• Last week before start of school - completed
• Mid September - Three weeks into the start of the school year - completed
• Last week in November before the waitlists expire

Please note that accepting or declining a seat to ANY Boston Public School, including an exam school, does NOT affect your student’s exam schools waitlist status. If you wish to remove your student from an exam school waitlist, please email exam@bostonpublicschools.org.
